Shadows create a sense of time and space; they move, shift, disappear as the sun sets only to return and draw new shapes on the city's walls. Distorted copies of reality, similar but never the same, the light repositions them now to the right, now to the left, higher or lower, occupying different spaces and adding elements that change over time; a tree putting out leaves or a new street sign create shadow games that are similar but different, slowly vanishing with the arrival of evening. Light and absence of light, light and shadows that sketch and draw on walls with figures that reveal themselves to us on sunny days. So different in different periods of the year, moving with the changing hours of the day, I search for them on city walls to capture and isolate them in an image at a defined day and time.
